Hello Everyone,
We are excited to get the season up and running especially after the PeeWee and mites teams missing last year. We are coming off a Superbowl win for the Midgets, we're hoping to keep this energy going and get the kids back on the field.
Practice: Friday 8/13 - Meet & Greet - 5:30-7:00pm @ Pierce playground (gym clothes and cleats and water)
Monday - Thursday until the kids go back to school 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Monday and Tuesday wear gym clothes and cleats and water. Wednesday and moving forward we will be full uniform. Parents are required to obtain their own practice pants, preferably black, mouthpiece, cup and cleats. We supply helmet, shoulder pads and practice shirt and game uniform.
Tuesday - Thursday when the kids return to school 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Please understand that our practice space may be moved periodically depending on the schedule at the park. Practice will always be at the Pierce playground fields, ALL fields are within a short walking distance to each other. We will probably be behind the MECC (Kindergarten) or on Battis field, dropoff & pickup is still at the Pierce playground.
Games: JV games are on Saturday mornings, times TBD
Varsity games are on Sunday, Mites at 10:00 am, Midgets at 11:30 am and PeeWees at 2:00 pm.
Equipment: Equipment handout will be this Sunday 8/15 at the MMC Trailers, located across from the Mitchell Memorial Club, 29 Elm Street. We are waving the equipment deposit this year due to COVID and we hope this helps in small way. It is extremely important and vital to the program that equipment is returned on our return dates TBD depending on Playoffs & Superbowl, etc.
PeeWees: 9:00 - 10:00 am
Midgets: 10:00 - 11:00 am
Mites: 11:00 - 12:00 pm
Please note that we are all volunteers and if you miss this equipment date you possibly may not get your equipment until the following weekend. It's hard to have coaches running to the trailers for equipment when they need to be on the field.
Equipment Managers Needed for Mites and PeeWees. This person will assist with equipment throughout the season including game times. It's important to have an equipment manager as to help let the coaches coach and not worry about broken chin straps, etc. This is a great chance for someone that wants to possibly become a coach. They are expected to be at practice and on the field and also you are able to be on the sidelines during game day. If anyone is interested, we need one person per team, please reach out.
Reminder, the Rich Lennon clinic is tomorrow night at Battis field, 5:30 - 7:00 pm. This is a one day free clinic the program is offering to all players. We hope to see you there.
Reminder that payments and/or remaining balances are due preferably before equipment. If you need additional time, 9/1 is the cutoff.
Thank you,
Bob Mosley
